Default Another losing battle for the Mets, The Iron Triangle

Still doesn't look good for the redevelopment of Willets Point plan that the Mets and the city are trying to push through Citi Field is going to have some smelly neighboors for the foreseable future it appears.

To say nothing about the stench coming from the team playing there!

I think this is the guy Wally always quotes.

Anyway, all these guys are TOTALLY in for a nice payday.

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the first-place New York Mets.

Well, tied for first place in the NL East with the Phillies at 52-44. But with a 10-game winning streak, and with the way the Mets rallied for a 10-8 win over the Reds last night, it seems like only a matter of time before the Mets leave the rest of the division in the rearview mirror.
You ****ing knew it after reading that.

I think so as well, but the story is more that all the others are still prepped for a long, drawn out fight.

Heh, the Yankees have a under-reported story about taking away actual neighboorhood park space, while the Mets build a new stadium in an exisiting parking lot, and plan to use the old stadium to replace the lost parking spaces. No additional parking lots have ever been planned for the Citi Field plan as far as I can tell.

Yet they have a "Big Guy vs Little Guy" fight over wanting to beautify the surrounding area.
