Default Paranoid schizophrenic

Randolph had spotted Manuel having a lengthy conversation on the field at Shea Stadium last week with Mets VP of player development Tony Bernazard, a known Randolph detractor. Randolph grew concerned Manuel was serving as a mole to the front office and he confronted Manuel about the meeting. Manuel denied anything nefarious in his face-to-face with Randolph.

But Randolph was fired on Monday night and his suspicions about Manuel widened after watching Manuel's introductory press conference to become interim manager, because Manuel was so explicit about the areas in which he would separate himself from Randolph.

It is Randolph's burgeoning belief that Manuel might have been pointing to just these areas as a way to knock Randolph and campaign to be his replacement.

McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

Manuel also confirmed that an angry Randolph challenged him about the meeting with Bernazard.

The Way Manuel was smiling like a kid in a candy store, I DO believe it. Also the way he showed the most outrage in the Yankee game to potentially stand up his manager...it wouldn't shock me.

I mean, during that press conference, Manuel acted like he won the lottery. (Well, maybe he did)

Maybe Manuel will actually look like he's awake in the dugout during some of the games.

"The last two years, we’ve been probably one of the best teams in baseball until the so-called collapse,” Randolph added. “I didn’t have any timetable, but I knew that given time, I could have helped this team win a world championship."

Hey willie you were a below .500 team over the last year.

Can you blame him really?

He's got the assistant GM up his ass, undermining him at every turn.
His players run to the front office when Willie doesn't baby them.
The owners and assistant GM never wanted him.
The only guy that seemingly had his back, Manuel, was glad handing the one person making Randolph's life miserable.

Was Willie fitting himself for a tinfoil hat? Maybe, but maybe they were really out to get him.

Randolph felt he was not treated with the proper respect he deserved. The Brooklyn native and a childhood Mets' fan, Randolph told the Daily News he has received tons of support.

"All very favorable things," Randolph said. "People know who I am and understand that I deserve better

whaaaa whaaaaa whaaaa. Sorry but I'm sick of willie. I see he's getting lots of support from the Bronx though.

Not necessarily, but "so-called collapse"? He really did have to be fired, it's a testament to how incompetent this organization is that they made it so outrageous and controversial.

This bothers me about Willie. Even now he still is taking swipes at fans and the media (at least that is what I get from the "so-called" comment).

Ridiculous.

You're right - only the Mets could put themselves in a position where the media whitewashes the rep of the paranoid mediocrity they got rid of.

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the first-place New York Mets.

Well, tied for first place in the NL East with the Phillies at 52-44. But with a 10-game winning streak, and with the way the Mets rallied for a 10-8 win over the Reds last night, it seems like only a matter of time before the Mets leave the rest of the division in the rearview mirror.
You ****ing knew it after reading that.
