Default The real leak?

This comes from our Friend, Reyetsiac:

Quote:
Q/A from a message Board:

What does Jay Horwitz do these days, by the way?

Vice President, Media Relations. He reports to Dave Howard, although somewhere David Newman fits in above him. That's the official job title.

Unofficially, he seems to have the Wilpons' ear...and has been with the team for 28 years. He's a rugged, vicious infighter, which belies his public, happy, go-lucky image (which he's worked very hard to cultivate). He would appear to be, from what I'm told, a player in the anti-Bernazard (and by extension, anti-Minaya) faction.

He also was a big player in the last round of internal conflict. I can tell you a lot of people are afraid of him — and leaks don't happen in the organization without his OK, or there are some nasty, nasty repurcussions. Take the most recent round of leakage in that perspective.
I don't think he's the point person, but he's a player — and bears a major responsibility for the dozens of PR blunders this team has had going back to the 1980s.

Where did Bill say that it was Horwitz? You only THOUGHT he said Horwitz, he was actually talking about someone else entirely. He was misquoted.

Cretins.

We're through the looking glass, people.

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the first-place New York Mets.

Well, tied for first place in the NL East with the Phillies at 52-44. But with a 10-game winning streak, and with the way the Mets rallied for a 10-8 win over the Reds last night, it seems like only a matter of time before the Mets leave the rest of the division in the rearview mirror.
You ****ing knew it after reading that.

Oh... I agree the Translator has too much power... but there is something to the in-fighting and "leaks" being around much longer than the Translator has.

Olney was absolutely BLASTING the Mets on Baseball Tonight about this whole issue of leakage.

While Schneider (talking to Joe B and Evan) claims to have a "good relationship" with Tony B, he added that he doesn't try to "get involved"...

The more I hear about this organization, the more angry I get.
