Default Meet your new manager!

Quote:
“He’s definitely a laid back type of manager. If the Mets need someone to give them a kick in the ass, he’s not the guy for that. But if they need a calming influence, he’s the man.
He was Manager of the Year once with the Sox, but they got very complacent on him after a few years…he’s not the inspirational type. It got so bad that the Sox went in the complete opposite direction when replacing him with Ozzie Guillen.”
LETS GO METS!! LETS GO METS!!

I want to cry now.

So they replaced "It's still early, we just need to get into a grove, the champagne will taste sweeter when we clinch" with "It's still early, we just need to get into a grove, the champagne will taste sweeter when we clinch"

He's just a placeholder. Oberkfell is more likely to be at the helm next season.

Why would they even bother bringing up Oberkfell if he's just going to be the bench coach with no defined job? Even when they do something I agree with they seem to f*ck it up.

If the managerial gig doesnt work out he can always pursue a modeling career.

This makes no sense. What is undefined about bench coach?? It's the managers right hand guy.

Right hand guy? What a crystal clear definition.

You know what's kinda hilarious? Take off his glasses, and he looks a little like Jose Lima.

LOL

Easiest job in the world goes to the guy who gets to make the Jerry Manuel bobblehead doll.

And the left hand is burying a dagger in the back.

I think that if the Mets intend on naming Oberkfell manager in the future it would be wise to see what he's made of this season. Just my opinion.
