Warthen is the pitching coach and I am assuming Oberkfell is the bench coach with Aguayo becoming the first base coach.

AAA manager? Well there are enough old guys down there that can take care of it.

Calling up Oberkfell to be the bench coach, to me at least signifies that they are really serious about giving him the job in the offseason.

He should be manager for the rest of the season, no matter what.

Yeah for better or worse he is the manager for the rest of the year. That said, even if they miraculously make the playoffs I don't want Manuel back next year.

The only reason I would disagree with this is if they tell Manuel up front that he is not in their plans for the next season and they start interviewing now for a permanent replacement and bring him on board to manage the rest of the season. Unlikely, but heck the way this organization is runned who knows what they are really thinking.
