Default Groundhog Day III: Alou on the DL Again...

Moises Alou has been placed on the 15 Day DL... To replace him the Mets called up love interest Robinson Cancel, because you never can have too many catchers...

Replace on OF'er with a C... Good move...

That's only because the switch hitting version -- Casanova -- has to stay in the minors for a fixed number of days before he can be brought back. I guess this means that Aguila might actually get to start a game at some point unless Willie's undying love for Chavez and Tatis get in the way.

Why in **** don't they give Pascucci a chance??? WHAT has Cancelled done to warrant not one but TWO callups? Why was Nunez up there??

The guy can play a decent corner OF and 1B, and he's got decent speed for a big dude.

Seriously - I'm sick and ****ing tired of this reverse racism that Omar spews throughout the organization. He keeps bringing up knuckleheaded "athletes" while a baseball lifer like Pascucci, who played in the Olympics, sits on his ass with a 1.200 or so OPS.

At first it was part of my schtick, but this is crap. All of the organizational Latinos have Bernazard home numbers. WHAT would happen if all of the organizational White guys had HoJo's home numbers??????? Hell, what would happen if both of the Black guys had Willie's numbers?

The Latino CRAP that keeps showing up on Shea's doorstep is frigging embarassing.

Seriously, I was wondering about Pascucci... I would have figured a no-brainer...

Than you look at tonight's lineup and see Anderson and Endy again and realize Willie doesn't give a ****...

Default Alou to DL, Cancel up!

(On edit: Sorry, didn't see the other thread. Mods, please merge.)

Cancel? WHY IS OMAR STILL EMPLOYED??

Fantasy Baseball, Football, Basketball and Hockey - news, projections, cheatsheets, depth charts, draft guide - Rotoworld.com

The Mets have reportedly placed Moises Alou on the 15-day disabled list and replaced him with Robinson Cancel.

The Mets just couldn't go without carrying a totally useless 25th man for more than a day or two. The idea that Cancel is a better choice for the roster than Val Pascucci is absured. This leaves Endy Chavez, Fernando Tatis, Marlon Anderson and Damion Easley as the Mets' corner outfielders. That GM Omar Minaya has so far done nothing to upgrade is quite disturbing.

Chris Aguila was left off the list, but nevertheless, I thought I saw some sh** Mets corner outfields in the last ten years, when the Mets would pretend guys like Joe McEwing, Gerald Williams, and Chris Woodward into the corners. But this takes the cake. What a total disgrace.

I wish Ramon Castro could be a pretend left fielder since he can at least hit, but given his size and speed, he's probably make Tatis look like prime career Jim Edmonds out there.

Fixed, because Captain Road Map is in the starting lineup, in LF, tonight.
