Default Mets sign Reese Havens

Didn't see this posted yet.

The Mets, though, are getting a quick start on the future. They already agreed to terms with No. 1 choice Reese Havens, a shortstop from the University of South Carolina who may be turned into a catcher. Havens, the 22nd overall pick, got about $1.4 million.

Would rather see him move to second with Pena moving along the system nicely., but I guess you can't fault them for trying this. Can never have too much catching depth.

Steve, do you ever sit at your computer, look up at the ceiling, stare back at your computer screen, maybe look in a mirror, and then go back to the computer screen and think, "Wow, I'm f*cking worthless"? - DDP

I agree. I can see him as a 2 bagger. Only time will tell. I just hope he prefers hard work and singles over strikeouts and empinadas.
