Default So Here's The Thing...

I see a lot of you on here talking about how "we" can take the Rangers series and how there's still plenty of time, but to me the worse it gets in the short term the better it gets in the longer.

If you believe Omar and Steamboat are incompetent boobs (as I do) you want the Mets to lose, and lose badly. You want them both out of here as soon as possible and the next era to begin. The last thing you want is for them to win 12 out of 20, continue to "battle" until September, and then fall short of the postseason. This only guarantees the status quo and more of the same parade of Latino has-beens and never-wases, missed double-switches and head-scratching pitching changes, not to mention the same lifeless amorphous goo of a team on the field every day in 2009.

Short of them going off on a 30-5 tear and then blasting on through the post-season (uh, ain't gonna happen) it's better that they completely crumble and purge the lifeless dreck (in and out of uniform) NOW.

I'll never consciously root for them to fail, but your point is well taken. However, as long as there are tickets sold for Shea's final season and a virtually guaranteed record breaker for the first year in Citifield, the Wilpons have no financial incentive to eat contracts. They're making money with this travesty.

Well I am. Every day. Paulie is 100 percent correct.

Last night's win was a joke. If you have a half brain you knew it wouldn't carry over. Not all the way.

Wagner proved that.

Today, was a GREAT loss. Ten more and the idiots are gone.

Yeah but how do we get rid of the Wilpons?

GET THE PIECE OF CRAP McGimpy OFF MY TEAM NOW!!!!!

The McGimpy does most things upside down: eats, sleeps (an average of 23 hours per day), mates, and gives birth. Because of the McGimpy's upside down life, many of the McGimpy's internal organs (liver, stomach, spleen, pancreas) are in different positions from other mammals. McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

Well, as long as they are willing to spend $140 million each year, or keep the Mets at the top of the salary chart, they can stay. They just need to find the right person to right the ship.

Said this last night. At this point, you just have to laugh at the losses, and hope they lead to better days ahead, somehow. That's where I am at. Didn't want to be here, but this team left me no choice.

I could never root for the team to be terrible, but if they're going to be, I just want people to be held responsible (mostly the players/gm).

It's very sad, when Met fans have to root for this team to lose, for crucial changes to happen. It is so hard to understand why the Wilpons are this short-sighted and/or stupid. What is it going to take for them to take action ? Isnt it bad enough the ship has practically sunk ?

I truly felt this season went down the drain, the day the Wilpons gave Willie a vote of confidence. That was the moment they needed to make a move. They should be ashamed of themselves.

When I woke up this morning, I was disappointed to see that they won.

Judging by the sparse crowd around home plate, I wonder if I was the only one.

I started typing some stupid assed diatribe. They aren't even worth it, so I'll give you the Reader's Digest version instead: I hate them and they suck.

I can edit it down even further: F*ck this team.

All I could do today was laugh. This team isn't worth getting upset about. I hope the Rangers blow them out of the water this weekend.
