Willie made some questionable moves the last 3 days, BUT, he did what he was supposed to do. his team got to the 9th with leads. WAGNER blew these games.

It doesn't matter...SOMEONE has to take the fall at this point. They need to do SOMETHING before it's too late. ***** and moan all you want, but they're not at the point where it's too late...YET. Six games back in the loss column on June 12th is not insurmountable...

BUT, if they don't do something soon...

A good manager brings in Heilman, NOT Shoenweis. A good manager gives Reyes the steal sign and Chavez teh hold sign until Reyes is on second. THEN you give the bunt sign. A good manager has the balls to go out there when Wagner loads the bases the day after blowing a game and pulls him. A good manager gives Easley the take sign on the first pitch after Delgado gets walked on 5 pitches. Willie did NONE of these things. He is a shitforbrains manager and needs to go.

I personally think it's time to stop with the pitch count crap!!!! It's annoying the heck out of me. I say if the guy is throwing a shutout leeave him.

NOT with THIS current roster.

Now, if they fix the roster, then I am with you that they can.

Interesting article I'm surprised nobody noticed... Leads me to believe there's a VERY high chance he's gone before tomorrow night's game.

Can we stop the Bobby V ****? He's a GOD in Japan, on a winning team, and was an embarrassment the last time he managed the Mets.

Plus why the hell would he want to manage this band of overpaid primadonnas. Bobby V works well with players like we had in 1999 and 2000. Once there are a lot of veterans his act wears thin very quickly.

Julio Franco since he left the Mets have been god awful. Maybe he could do something about this. Maybe as a manager.

Even if it isn't going to rationally make the team better, they almost HAVE to do something now.

Bobby V or not... hopefully they get rid of the dead weight.

This team is really not that far away... but they're not going to win anything when Damion Easley, Luis Castillo, Marlon Anderson, Whatshisface Aguilla, Fernando Tatis and Endy Chavez all get major PT (like they did today). They're not going to win anything when their first baseman is not even a league-average hitter. They're not going to win anything when their one and only plan for LF is a 42-year old (or however old he is) who's never stayed healthy, ever.

Get rid of the dead weight, get some prospects for them (even if they're B/C prospects - think the Mets would like some tradebait prospects right about now?), fire the manager/GM, have a 2006-07 cubs-like offseason, come back next year ready to compete.

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the first-place New York Mets.

Well, tied for first place in the NL East with the Phillies at 52-44. But with a 10-game winning streak, and with the way the Mets rallied for a 10-8 win over the Reds last night, it seems like only a matter of time before the Mets leave the rest of the division in the rearview mirror.
You ****ing knew it after reading that.
