Without the Kazmir/Zambrano trade we wouldn't HAVE Minaya, Pedro, Beltran or Delgado!!!

We'd still have Duquette though, at least for a few more years.

****ed either way.

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the first-place New York Mets.

Well, tied for first place in the NL East with the Phillies at 52-44. But with a 10-game winning streak, and with the way the Mets rallied for a 10-8 win over the Reds last night, it seems like only a matter of time before the Mets leave the rest of the division in the rearview mirror.
You ****ing knew it after reading that.

We needed SOMETHING to ease the pain. That argument worked pretty well in 2006. Now, of course, it looks like the usual Met magic finally seeped into the situation, and they're in the tank again. But tell me YOU weren't excited about the possibilities in '06.

But the Wilpons wanted us to believe that we were in the pennant race that year so that we would all still show up in August and September (which I would have done anyway. . .probably even if they were on pace to lose 100)!!!!!!! So they had be to active at the deadline and make it seem that we were tooling up for the "stretch run".

I did not attend one game that year following that asinine short-sighted trade, BTW. Great job all around!!
