| To Ken Griffey Jr. for hitting his 600th career homerun last night. It's a shame injuries marred his career. We would probably be looking at the all time leader in homeruns had he stayed healthy.

| If you watched baseball in the 90's you had to admire what he had accomplished on the individual level.

| He was called up and given 24 hours to accept a trade to the mets. He said no because he would need more time to make such a major decision.

| There were a lot of players that were too good to go for the mets. Right now I wouldn't accept a trade to these shitstains.

| He also had family in Cinci. Why should he owe us anything? I'd prefer a player who'd take less to be home than another FA who only wants us for the $ (Beltran, let's be real we weren't his first choice) that we MUST over pay for. The world doesn't revolve around NY and it's fine. Sadly, Karma rewarded guys like Arod and not Griffey in terms of being able to fulfill his talent on a grand scale after choosing home. Then again, maybe something else played into it and Arod is part of a 14 year **** tease that we don't know about (no rings, ever) Eh, who knows. But he's a prodigy who at least (somewhat) lived to his potential with about 10 gold gloves and will have 650 homers. That's pretty damn good

| He seems to be one of the rare nice guys in the game that actually succeeded. It is a shame that injuries stunted his overall stats, but there is no question that he is going to the HOF on the first ballot. As he said in his post-game interview, his father only had 100+ HRS, so he never expected to be a power hitter. He thought he was going to be a no. 2 type line drive hitter.

| Also, we might as well start counting bunt singles, because that's how much "home runs" mean right now. 600 home runs in the age of smaller parks, a juiced ball, piss-thin pitching, steroids, HGH, 70 home runs seasons and strikes that only fall between the knee and the middle thigh. F*ck him and his dopey balls that go over walls. Wow. Pose at the plate some more. You did something that used to be special. |

| Griffey is a much greater player than Sosa. I still can't believe that guy reached 600 HRs. Good thing McGwire didn't. Sosa had about 5-6 years (98-02) of overinflated roid years that helped him get to 600. Griffey had 45 HR way back in 1993, but only over 50 HR twice. When will Payrod get to that milestone? His production is way down this year due to injuries.
