Default Church DLed

Per Metsblog.. and I like this Cerrone, sarcastic version. He's sounding more and more like his fandom armor is being slowly chipped away...

Quote:
Three weeks later, the Mets have finally placed Ryan Church on the 15–day disabled list.

…i haven’t heard yet, but i assume the corresponding move will be to activate Moises Alou…or call up a fourth catcher, because, you know, you can never have too many catchers…

…what a mess this situation with church was…the thing is, i’m not even sure who is to blame for all of this…it’s probably equal parts medical, Omar Minaya and church, who were probably at odds with needing him to play and rest at the same time…

…i just hope he gets better…not from a baseball sense, but for his own well being…

Thanks for the update Dave. Wise choice.... but, as we all know, it should have happened quite some time ago.

I sincerely wish the best for Church. I hope he comes back soon.... but ONLY when he is medically, and mentally fit to play, and not one day before. I hope the Mets will be very careful with him.

Mets fans, start setting your watches the moment Moises the Messiah is re-activated. Any chance he gets hurt DURING Church's DL stint?

What I'd like to see...

Reactivate Alou, drop Casanova (back to NO) or Abe NONEz (drop him altogether from the 40 man), and call up Pascucci, or Aguilar.

I'm sick of Endy. SIck of Tatis (he plays hard, but is a poor OF, and his hitting has started to drop off the cliff). Try someone, ANYONE, else....

At this point, does it really matter?

Alou is going cure the ills of the lineup. Gary Cohen said so.

Dave.... you asked if there is Any chance Alou WILL get hurt ? I think the better question is... is there any chance he WONT get hurt ?

I think the over/under on Alou should be set at 2 days, and it will probably be the under

I could see him reaggravating whatever the hell injury he just had. He'll probably trip over the foul line...

And once again this organization shows that they aren't organized at all.

Even on an off day, the Mets find some way to make me disgusted with them.

Amazin'

Chris Aguila went 5-for-5 with five RBI, falling a triple short of the cycle, as the New Orleans Zephyrs beat the Omaha Royals on Monday, 10-4.

Aguila, coming off PCL Hitter of the Week honors a week ago, set a new season high for a Zephyrs batter with five hits. It came almost one year to the day after the last Zephyrs five-hit performance, by Chip Ambres at Iowa last June 7.
Why not call him up and give him a shot? At least he seems to know what to do with a bat...

I realize it's a hitters league, but he is tearing it up... and hey! He's 29 years old! No savior or anything like that, but if Tatis or Abe F*cking Nunez can get all call-ups for doing much less... then why not Aguila?

Cerrone on a roll...

Quote:
The transaction is retroactive to last Friday, meaning he will be eligible to return to action around June 20.

However, according to the team, Church will not be activated until he is ‘symptom free.’

…once bitten twice shy, baby…
