| If you had a chance to swap out rosters, would you do so? At the beginning of the season I would have said no, because I figure the Mets players would have been hungry to make up for the collapse of 2007. Also, going into the season the Yankees have gotten much younger and are willing to do a bit of rebuilding, which is the opposite of the Mets over the hill gang. At this point I would be tempted to say yes, let's swap rosters, as much as I despise the Yanks.

| i think the mets have a better base of young players, with the pitching exception, but so far, their young pitching has been suspect this year. The mets roster may be more competitive once you weed out the aging guys to go after the year. Mets could lose delgado, alou after the year, and still have guys like wright, reyes, church, beltran hitting their prime or in their prime. so there's 4 of 8 starters. On the other side, the yankees could lose abreau, damon, matsui, giambi after the year, and looking at what's left, you have a young cabrera and cano, jeter and arod are probably over the hill of their primes as well. So young position talent, you gotta go with the mets. Pitching wise, Pedro is probably gone after the year unless he really impresses. you'd have to basically say Maine + Pelfrey + Santana vs. Hughes, wang, Joba, Kennedy. today, its a wash. but in the future, those 4 in the bronx could add up to more than santana and maine, if pelfrey never becomes dominant. then again, hughes, joba, and kennedy may not either. I would probably do a full roster swap with the Dbacks though.

| I'd rather have the Tamp Bay Rays' players. Say what you want about that organization - they've taken YEARS of crap, went hit or miss on drafts (mostly hit) and made some deft trades. Their best guys might still be in their farm system. If they keep that nucleus together....

Very nice, exciting young team, with a new stadium on the horizon. I LOVE their starting rotation, and that is not even factoring in Jeff Neimann and David Price. | |

| The Yankees if nothing else play hard. It sickens me to praise them, but their veteran players do hustle and do seem to care. I would bet they'll make the playoffs as the Wild Card. The should get on a big run considering who they play the rest of the month(A's, Astros, Padres, Pirates and our Metsies) |

| Let's look at it this way. How would the Yankees be playing in the National League right now? I'd be willing to be they'd be at least 10 games over .500 right now. I'd take that roster in a second. There shitty, old players (Giambi), at least look to improve themselves. I hate this Mets team. Hate it.

| I like very little about this Met team right now. If you combined the best of both teams you might have a team that could make the postseason.
