Default Talk about a preachy writer

From Delcos' blog: So, how are the most sophisticated sports fans in the world going to behave tonight. Will they have the pack mentality and boo Willie Randolph and the players they claim to love, or will they recognize their team is hurting and in dire need of some sugar?

Let me ask you. If you have a pet at home, do you jeer him, belittle him, scream at him, or scratch his ears?

I can tell by some of the vile comment on here that there are plenty of dog beaters out there that will probably be at Shea tonight.

We’ve had this topic before, and I still don’t understand. Unless they don’t hustle or are genuine bad people, why boo? And, why boo Randolph because his hitters are in a funk and a half-dozen vital players are hurt?

If somebody can give me a good explanation why you would boo somebody for not playing well, I am all ears. If you want to boo somebody, boo your politicians. Boo companies that offer poor service.

The word is New York has the world’s most sophisticated sports fans who really understand the game.

We’ll see.

If my dog shits on the rug, I'm not gonna scratch his ears.

Half-dozen vital players?

Who? Alou? Duque? I see Delcos bit for Omar's injuries excuse.

F*ck Delcos. F*ck the Mets. I hate the Medfordian preaching that goes on. This organization has just come off telling us, the fans, that we are nothing but a bunch of mongoloids.

This organization also told us the MEDIA is at fault for THEIR problems.

Yeah, I am sophisticated. Enough to not care anymore.

YOU UNGRATEFUL BASTARDS!

You're all just like animal abusers! Booing Willie is JUST the same as being Michael Vick! OMG! Can you not see what amazing people the Mets are? What STRIFE they go through to earn their millions of dollars! Not one of you deserve these poor, fantastic, suffering humans. NOT ONE OF YOU.

Delgado grew testy with a reporter when asked point-blank whether he thought (key word there) Randolph should retain his job. “I think we need to play better,” he said emphatically. “This isn’t about the manager. I’m not in position to think or not think. They don’t pay me to think here. They pay me to play baseball.”

When I go to work tomorrow, I'm going to inject all the animals that come in with euthanasia. Because as a Mets fan, that's the kind of guy I am.

I knew the reaction was going to be good but little did I know it would be THIS good. And like an hour before 1st pitch no less. That is one of the single dumbest analogies I've ever heard.

Anyone notice that most of the MSM NEVER wants to fire ANY manager not named Bobby Valentine.

It's NEVER the manager's fault, they'll tell you. Well then, why not sign any schlub to be manager if he has no impact. What would a manager have to do for the media to think he has some responsibility and should be gotten rid of?

I mean, is it EVER the manager's fault?
