Fair enough, but this team does nothing to inspire positive thinking.

Not sure why it's Vargas on three days rest and not Maine. I know Vargas didn't throw a lot of pitches but if I recall, Maine only went four innings. Plus Maine pitched the day game so it's about 72 hours rest. Vargas pitched the night game so it's a bit less.

Besides, you'd think you'd want your best pitcher on three days rest with a five game losing streak. Oh wait, this is Willie.

With that, and sticking the rookie in the 8th spot, where he will get nothing to hit.

Willie just needs to be canned already.

The Great Mets ERA Reducing Traveling Road Show is going to be helping out (drumroll) Jeff Francis today! Who knows - someday they might come to your town. Then you can get your ERA reduced!

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the first-place New York Mets.

Well, tied for first place in the NL East with the Phillies at 52-44. But with a 10-game winning streak, and with the way the Mets rallied for a 10-8 win over the Reds last night, it seems like only a matter of time before the Mets leave the rest of the division in the rearview mirror.
You ****ing knew it after reading that.

I guess it beats him rotting on the bench for two weeks.

GET THE PIECE OF CRAP McGimpy OFF MY TEAM NOW!!!!!

The McGimpy does most things upside down: eats, sleeps (an average of 23 hours per day), mates, and gives birth. Because of the McGimpy's upside down life, many of the McGimpy's internal organs (liver, stomach, spleen, pancreas) are in different positions from other mammals. McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

Congratulations Nick Evans! RBI double "right out of the chute" as the announcer on FOX put it.
