To me if the Mets are giving Willie a vote of confidence, then they are saying its the players on the field that are the problem..... So lets see a shake up in the roster then...otherwise its just more bullshit.

Keep Evans around and see what he's got...get some of this dead weight off the boat....and honestly, even more than Delgado, its Castillo I want to see gone asap.

Agreed. At least Delgado has shown SOME sporadic signs of life, even though he has been rather Mo Vaughnish at 1B...

Castillo is #1 on my "must go" list...

At this point Delgado is purely a guess hitter, as you can tell by the many balls he swings at that are over his head. When he does make solid contact it has strong chance of going out of the park because he's a big boy, but he is no longer a hitter to be feared. Plus he no longer even pretends to field his position.

Add that to his cancerous clubhouse presence and he'd be gone yesterday if it was up to me.

Delgado is now Dave Kingman, but not even as good. Today he had 2Ks, a pop up, and a HR.

Well Castillo never was a hitter to be feared (unless you have a pitcher terrified of fielding the ball off the grass)...his defense has been mediocre at best...and his legs are just about shot....plus he's got 24 mil to collect. At least Delgado can get an RBI here and there. Hell he's even scored more runs.

I'm beginning to wonder who is the bigger clubhouse cancer.... Since Castillo has joined the club Reyes has turned to crap, developed horrible habits, and the team is under .500. With Delgado at least you can say he was a huge reason they went as far as they did in 06....

I'm not saying Delgado should be man of the year or that his ass shouldnt be kicked to the curb asap, but I'm beginning to wonder if its just coincidence that this club has sucked since Castillo showed up because they were doing a decent job of things from 06 till July 07.....

Given the choice of right this instant being allowed to remove 1 and only 1 player from the club I'd be leaning towards Castillo as being that guy
