| I just noticed that the 2010 All-Star Game may have been awarded to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of Southern California on Gene Autrey Way. Link : Angels expected to host 2010 All-Star game - AOL Sports In the article, it says the Mets are probable for 2013. I had hoped the Mets were the favorites for the 2010 ASG, but it doesnt appear that way. |

| Senior Member | Screw the All Star game. This is one of the reasons why Wilpon won't open the pocket book and defy Selig by going over slot in the draft, because they want this stupid exhibition game so badly. I'm sure 99% of the fans would rather have a better team on the field for 81 games... |

And that policy has worked so well so far. What we are coming up on the Golden Anniversary of the last time the Mets hosted?

| As much as I enjoy the Selig bashing as much as the next guy, you can't blame him here. The game is going to be in NY this year, what message does it send to the rest of the league to come back to NY just two years later. Unfortunately we will have to wait a few more years. At least by then we may have some guys worthy to play in the game.

| Ok well we can wait three more years then. You have to think of baseball as a whole. To sell the game it might benefit to have that game somewhere else instead of in NY again. We will get it, and frankly I could care less if Citifield got it. It isn't like any of us are getting tickets.

| The Mets might be contracted by 2013.
