Rather than re-signing this absolutely worthless gimp they could have let a career minor leaguer take his place until a better option came along and it wouldn't have made any difference on the field. And if Omar had a burning desire to burn through $26 million of Fred's money he could have rolled it into a burrito and fed it to his dog. That would have been a more productive use for it. Christ, it's starting to scare me how much I despise nearly everything about this team, and how easily the hatred comes. | |

| I suggested an overhaul of the lineup a few weeks ago, especially about moving Reyes down in the lineup, and many didnt agree with me. My point was, when your players do not produce day after day after day, why on Earth not try some different combinations ? Maybe something else will click. Though I do not feel this is the ultimate solution.... I ask you, what do you have to lose ? You are already losing every day !!! What is the downside ? No, Willie just sits in his Sh*t, while Rome is burning, and doesnt see a problem. Another reason why he should have been gone a long time ago. |

| when you think of the length of contract/dollars and declining (non-existent) production, would the cost/benefit of Anderson Hernandez have been THAT much worse? At least AH plays spectacular defense and still has 2 good wheels.

| Someone else said that by NOT playing Tatis Willie might be giving a big "f*ck you" to Omar. Pick your battles, Captain Hazelwood. Making statements is OK when you're winning or at least competitive. Check the standings. By keeping the potentially better bats on the bench while playing the known useless commodities you're just shooting yourself in the foot.

| Super Moderator | No SC, but Tatis is one of Omar's boys... could be why Willie hasn't (or won't) play him. Granted, I cannot stand Tatis, and OMAR is the only reason he is even on this roster, but even I'd have to say that he couldn't do any worse than what Catchy Bunty and Anderson have done so far. |

| I'm not a Tatis fan and think most are too hard on the guy. But, considering the alternatives I run him out to LF until (more if) Alou returns. Maybe he can hit .250 with some pop. My line-up would be.. Castillo Reyes Beltran Wright Church Tatis Delgado Schneider |

| Super Moderator | At this point, I'd look to trade for a steady OF and want no part of Alou back on this team, unless he is willing to become a PH Deluxe... if not, then peddle him to some AL team that could use a DH. Enough of Alou. Yeah, he can hit, but that does little when he can only do it two weeks at a time. |

| Super Moderator | That we are advocating (somewhat) for Tatis to play is a total indictment of Omar and his failure (1) construct a productive bench, and (2) no depth in AAA to speak of. MAYBE Tatis hits .250, hits a couple of HRs. Not going to amount to much of a difference. |
