Default BACKMAN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These gutless wonders have no heart! Pelfrey pitches a gem and they cannot score one lousy run OFF OF THE NATIONALS???

THEY LOST THREE OUT OF FOUR TO THE ****ING WASHINGTON NATIONALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They need an entirely new and different voice in that dugout. Give me the one who was the scrappy, never quit, 1986 pain in the ass!!!

NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why not Ray Knight while we're at it, at least he has major league managerial experience, and he has the key quality most mets fans are looking for - a 1986 ring.

It was 22 years ago and the players on that team are in a position to teach what they know about what it takes to win.

Backman is a manager who has won and gets his players to win.

Wins where? With the South Carolina Peanuts, or whatever the hell they are? Wally's never going to manage in the big leagues. He has nobody to blame but himself and the Mets owe him nothing. Just because he slid around a lot on the '86 team doesn't mean he's not a certified whack job...

What happened to Mex wanting Oberfell to be the Mets Manager? Oh yeah he read on wikipedia that Ken is a players Manager and disowned him. Next week Mex will want Carter to be the next Met Manager.

I don't necessarily have a problem with panicking, but Backman? Why not Pete Sampras? He wins too.
