Default Santana was a huge waste.

Im sorry....on the road, against one of the leauges best teams, and all we can get out of this guy is 6 innings? For $140 Million?

WASTE.

I can get ****ing Rick Reed to give me SIX decent innings.

He has made 7 starts and has given this team a chance to win his every start. When it's all said and done he'll end up with 200 IP.

calm down and please STFU

The guy usually starts off slow. Come back to me in June.

Although he hasn't been super dominant - keep in mind that he has gone up against a lot of no. 1 pitchers that have shut down the Mets bats. Then again, almost every pitcher has shut down the Mets.

Whoop de damn do...he gave them "a chance to win." Stop the press.

**** you. For the money they paid, there is no excuse for it. You pay an Ace to gut it out and give you the big start and go long in the games that really count. THIS game is one of them,

Like i said...ANY decent pitcher can...how you say....give them a chance to win.

You expect more from your ace. Mr. "Im done after 6" is not worht the $$$.

Whoop dee damn doo, like I said before, it's been seven **** starts.

I would bump this thread in June to prove what an idiot you are but based on this thread I think it's already clear you are clueless.

ya your right, we should have signed Lohse to 5 years 50 mil and have him go 6 giving up 6 instead of Santana going 6 giving up 1.

And that's actually better than his typical slow start through April and May.

Says the guy who starts three Fire Willie or Who's Going to be the Next Manager threads after every two losses?

At least Rich can be funny in some of his rants...

Considering the Mets lost El Duque and Pedro for essentially the entire first couple of months of the season, I shudder at what could have been WITHOUT Santana. "Slow start" and all.

If "Proven Crap" (think Lima, Williams, Vargas, Lawrence) had been out there all month, I doubt the Mets would be 16-13 and a half game out here on May 4th.

I just can't wait till the next MOFO outing, I sure hope we have one this summer. It will be so nice to catch-up with good freinds and exchange these type of pleasantries face to face. We can count on you being there, right?

Quoted for some motherfreaking EMPHASIS. Santana had 8 Ks tonight against the best lineup in the NL, to this point. It has been talked about TIME AND TIME AGAIN that he begins the year slowly. It is a proven FACT. With all that, AND looking at the stats OrangeNblue posted, he is doing far better than one should expect this early. His April ERA average is in the 4s; he is under 3 now, with this start, at the beginning of May.

Some people, seriously, should SHUT THE F*CK UP. Complain about the sloppy D, the bullpen, or the lack of timely hitting. But Santana? Please!
