| No it is not a new religious cult, but just two new guys who have been extremely impressive thus far. I just have a simple question, how in the world can you take Pagan out of the Mets lineup upon Alou's return?? This kid is on fire and is doing everything right to make his second go around with the Mets long lasting. I honestly would keep Pagan in the lineup until his bat cools off, even if Alou is healthy. As for Church, I say LMillz who?? His defense alone is a significant upgrade over Milledge. Therefore, Omar is in the plus column with these two guys. |

1) Sample Size!!! 2) Alou in August and September '07: BA = .368; OBA = .406; Slg = .588 3) See #1 IOW, let's not forget what kind of bat we'd be confining to the bench before we start changing the line-up based on a 9 game stretch. If Pagan's still a league leading hitter when Moises is ready to go we'll deal with that "problem" then, but if Alou can swing the bat he's going to play. I said a while ago that if Pagan were to play well when given the chance the guy I think he makes most redundant/expendable is Endy. | |

| I believe it was SC who said that Endy had not done **** since the catch. I agree taht Pagan makes Endy expendable.

| Realistically, I realize that Alou needs to be back in this lineup. I'll admit that I am a bit caught up in the electricity that this kid is bringing to this team. I think that Pagan can be useful in keeping Alou healthy for the rest of the year by giving him some rest from time to time. There is no doubt that if Alou had been healthy last year we would have not collapsed. Therefore, if Pagan can help Alou stay healthy that would be great. Also, I totally agree that Chavez has become somewhat expendable now that Pagan can hit and plays a decent outfield. It'll be interesting to see what Pagan does leading off today. |

| Pagan's going nowhere when Alou returns and neither is Endy. It's Brady Clark who shouldn't sign any long term leases on an apartment in New York.
