Default Couple Questions about Rainouts

First off, since it looks like it will rain during the game tonight, do they allow you to bring umbrellas in? If not, do they sell those cheap plastic parkas at Shea?

And if the game gets rained out, I assume I have to come back another day to exchange the tickets or can you do it that same day?

Umbrellas
Umbrellas of all shapes and sizes are permitted in Shea Stadium as long as they do not interfere with other fans' enjoyment of the game.

Rain Out / Rain Check
To find out if a game has been rained out or postponed due to inclement weather, call (718) 507-RAIN or listen to WFAN SportsRadio 66 (660AM).

In the event a regulation game is not played due to weather then, unless indicated otherwise on the ticket, therain check can be exchanged for the same price seat for any regular season home game at the same facility this or next season (including, in the case of NY Mets tickets only, at Citi Field in 2009), subject to availability, or (in the case of NY Mets tickets only) refunded during this or the next calendar year at the Mets' home ballpark or by mail to the Mets Ticket Office. If issued complimentarily, this ticket shall have no value.

Ah, I couldn't find the bit about the umbrellas when I was looking over the site.

But can I exchange the tickets while I'm there should the game get rained out? I know you can mail them the tickets and do it that way, but if I can exchange the tickets on the spot tonight that would be ideal.

What happens if Danny Devito dressed up as The Penguin shows up to a game with his arsenal of machine gun umbrellas? I'm contacting the Mets ASAP. That's a serious safety risk.
