Not a shock....we all knew Omar did a bad job planning for depth with the rotation.... as much of a bum Lohse has been in the past he wouldnt have been the worst signing in the world, especially at the price the Cards ultimately paid.

Minor-league deal too. . .that's good because they are not committing a 25-man roster spot for him.

Very good insurance....he's not great, but he's better depth than most of the crap the Mets have had in there before
