Default The End of April

If by the end of April the Mets aren't playing solid baseball, if they aren't at least .500, Willie has got to go. I know it probably won't happen, but it should. I haven't been quick to kill Willie during his time here, but enough is enough. Aside from the stupid tactical decisions, this team just is not playing hard enough for him. Unless he turns it around, and fast, he's got to go. I don't really care how early it is, this team has shown some terrible signs. Packing it in the rest of the game after Pedro got hurt, and folding in these games to the Braves and Phillies. He should be managing for his job, starting now.

Also, they should straight up cut Schowenweis. Send a message. This team doesn't need losers who make excuses. The schmuck can only pitch to left handed batters on the road? Then whines about the fans booing him? Cut him, eat the salary, send a message. Team has wasted money on less important things.

I'm really down on these guys right now.

How about giving up 2 singles and hitting a batter?
How about generally just being a pile of **** since he signed his fat contract?
Did Delgado cause his 5 ERA last year?

As always it is all Delgado's fault.

Delgado cost the team a load of games last year and will taper off as time goes on. I do believe that.

That said, I've wanted Show to go for a while and his/mota's bad karma/inability to do ANYTHING is what truly ****ed the Mets last year in the worst way...at the worst damn time.

I agree cutting him (once we are sure Feliciano is ready, or even Duaner) is a good idea. You MUST shed the fat of LOSERS...career stinkos...if you want to take the next step.

If the Mets stay in last place for more than a month, or near it, Willie will be gone. I don't think there's any question about that.

Well said Mojo, though I have to add Omar to this as well. Unfortunately, he didn't send the message when really should have (last winter). Some of the same problems exist from the same cast of characters. Omar's the one shopping for the groceries, so he needs to get whacked here a bit.

I have never been a Willie-hater, but I'm tired of his "I've been a winner all my life" schtick. I'm done. I too feel there is lots of validity to the "they are not playing for Willie" argument. It really shows up in the cavalier approach to games, the dumb plays, etc...

No, but I think he is in part to blame for the lousy clubhouse culture, which supposedly was rectified (in the Mets org eyes) when Milledge and LoDuca were sent packing.

One thing leads to another.

Anyone else doubt for one minute that as Schoesh!t was crapping his pants, that something "not good" was going to happen?
