Default WAKE UP SHEEPLE!!! REYES IS NOT EXACTLY HELPING MATTERS!

I love how I see all these threads villifying Randolph/Delgado/the batting order after Beltran/whatever else but not a peep about how Jose looks just as shitty over the first six games as he did throught the entire 2nd half of last season.

Huh? Did anyone say otherwise? He sucks just as much as anyone else. As he goes so goes the lineup and right now they are going down the crapper. The problem last year wasn't his dancing and smiling, it was his crappy play.

He's batting .231 with 1 double and no stolen bases. What more do you want?

other then about 2 or 3 people that are still waiting for the great pumpkin pretty much everyone else is very very concerned with Reyes. Whoever it was that said Jeter was the most overrated player in baseball must never have seen Reyes play.

I think I have to agree with you. Reyes is the most overrated player in the league.

Like I said in another thread, it is very possible that Reyes just had one outstanding 12 month period (late 06 - early 07) and he is basically done now.

All you need to know about how bad the top of the lineup has been is that Beltran has 7 doubles already and has 1 RBI. That is pathetic. He has only had 4 ABS with runners in scoring position and that is with Wright having about 3 or four doubles batting directly in front of him.

I was actually thinking about that when I was watching the 4th inning today. I said to myself. "How the hell does Beltran have only 1 RBI? He's got like 5 doubles already."

That is an amazing stat right there...

So what was the biggest mistake for the offense? Dealing Milledge for Schneider and Church? Resigning Alou?

To me, it's a no brainer... The Milledge deal because it brought back 2 very below average players...
