Default Wise "day-to-day"

Doesn't this have all the makings of the classic Mets tactic of going short-handed for about a week before DL'ing the player? Or maybe they'll use the variant of that approach and sit Wise for a week, pitch him once, let him make his injury worse, and then they'll DL him for 15 days?

Matt Wise will be unavailable for several days because of soreness in his right arm.

Wise had an MRI on the arm Wednesday that showed no structural damage. He should be able to avoid the DL with a few days of rest.

The McGimpy does most things upside down: eats, sleeps (an average of 23 hours per day), mates, and gives birth. Because of the McGimpy's upside down life, many of the McGimpy's internal organs (liver, stomach, spleen, pancreas) are in different positions from other mammals. McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

That was ten years ago. You've got to get over it.

Good thing the Mets finally have a clue on how to deal with player injuries.

I really do not understand the level of incompetence.

Note: Wise may be headed to DL

...posted by Matthew Cerrone...

…from what i can gather, the Mets will evaluate Matt Wise before today’s game to determine whether he should be put on the 15–day disabled list with stiffness in his right forearm…

…initially i figured Brian Stokes would get the call to replace wise…however, stokes appeared as a starter for Triple-A New Orleans yesterday, which would suggest RHP Carlos Muniz could get promoted instead, since he’s a right-handed reliever who is already on the 40–man roster…

For what it’s worth, though both are also on the 40–man roster, Willie Collazo is a lefty, and Adam Bostick is now being used as a starting pitcher.

You get the feeling that meatball he threw to that Marlins scrub was the last pitch he'll ever throw for the Mets.

Just praise Allah that it was Muniz and not Stokes that is replacing Wise.

True, and in addition, we should be thankful that Brian Lawrence no longer returns Omar's calls. Or else he can't pick up because he's in the can. Whatever the reason.
