GET THE PIECE OF CRAP McGimpy OFF MY TEAM NOW!!!!!

The McGimpy does most things upside down: eats, sleeps (an average of 23 hours per day), mates, and gives birth. Because of the McGimpy's upside down life, many of the McGimpy's internal organs (liver, stomach, spleen, pancreas) are in different positions from other mammals. McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

I had read somewhere that there wasn't much footage available from the '73 series.

I am fairly certain that is correct, I seem to recall it was among a hand full of series that are damaged or missing full game tape.

btw...anyone remember the Dwight Gooden 1984 first game against Houston that surfaced last year on you tube?

Tell me the graphics from the 1973 World Series and opening day of 1984 were not identical. Eleven years and almost no technical progress. What would Fox do without the ability to put some computer generated moron robot character on the screen.

I think you're right, but to be fair, it's a comparison between NBC Sports during a World Series, and WWOR. Seems possible that a local TV station would be behind the cutting edge, technologically speaking.

I'm shocked Jesus Alou didn't pull something running out to the third base line.

As a collector of old sports broadcasts, I can tell you what you have heard about the 1973 World Series is sadly true. Here's what I know exists from that series:

Game 1: The entire game exists (I have a copy of this, complete with cheesy 1973 Commercials)
Game 2: Missing the last inning or so (I do know some broadcast footage of the top of the last inning is out there now)
Game 3: Missing the extra innings
Game 4: Only the first 4 innings
Game 5: Only the last 2 innings
Game 6: Nothing exists
Game 7: Cuts off with one out in the 9th (again, there does now exist broadcast footage of the final out)

surely it was SNY's fault, as led by Minaya as there were too many non athletes in the series
