It's as if all of these rumors are Omar's equivalent of keeping a work related web page queued up on his computer to have showing incase the boss comes by.

It's cool though, Omar says Perez will Rocky Montage his way to pitching like Koufax, Pelfrey will become an Ace and John Maine will be as physically healthy as the bionic man...

The only one on this list who I would want the Mets to trade is Beltran. Wright and Reyes are still young enough to contribute for many years to come, and IMO, it would be foolish to trade them unless we are ridiculously overwhelmed. Krod is another one I'd add to that list. The Mets could get some nice young pieces for those two, retool for next season while taking away payroll, and have a ton of payroll to spend with all the 2010 money off the books.

I don't think the Mets have to go into full rebuilding mode to have a shot in 2011.
