Default Mauer got a 10 yr deal

Thank God now it's up to the Cards to keep Pujols out of the Bronx

I hope he does sign. It will show the Twins fans they care.

As much as I would love to have him hit the open market so I could delude myself into thinking that the Mets could sign him, it is the best for baseball that he stays in Minnesota. That said, a ten year contract would be ridiculous, even if you figure he could move to DH or 1B when he breaks down.

I think it's great. Good for Mauer. Good for the Twins. They want him. He wants to stay. I'm envious. I wish the Met front office could establish that kind of relationship with a player.

Delgado, Tatis, and Castillo are almost there.

But wait, I thought the Mets sh!tting themselves this off season was really a master stroke by Omar because of the winter 2010 FA class....

I am sure Alex Cora would sign a 10 yr contract if asked to....

If this offseason has taught us anything, its that the Mets should not be considered the frontrunners on ANY FA signing. We'd have the proverbial's snowball's chance at signing Mauer.

Btw, a 10 year contract is ridiculous, even for Mauer.

Great for everyone, except he's going to have to play the next 10 years outside in Minnesota...

Can't wait till Omar signs Delgado to a 10 year deal.

I heard Omar wants to sign Wright to a ten-year deal when his contract is up. One year for every home run he'll hit again in 2010.
