I don't understand the Wilpons thinking?

Why couldn't they 1st interview candidates for gm and manager and then decide if they want to keep Omar and Manual or if someone else is more qualified for that position? Why rush and give them deals?

I believe Omar was still under contract. How do you plan to interview guys for the GM job unless you first fire him?

That's in no way saying I'm in favor of the extension, only that your idea would never work.
