The Mets have money coming off the book and should spend it this way:

CC Sabathia 6 years 20 per
AJ Burnett 5 years 16 per
Ollie Perez 4 years 14 per
Dunn 5 years 15 per
Pudge 3 years 4 per

With Citi Field and some money coming OFF the books, they can pony up this year and solidfy a winning team that can be dominant for the next 5 years while eveyone is signed!

Murphy

Santana

Pelfrey

Maine-Closing

The above increases the payroll by 42 million over last year, but very little increase over the next 5 years.
