Wilpons have to understand accountability first.

Not happening. The players really liked Jerry and he played a big role in Reyes and Delgado's turnaround. Apparently, the first parting with the Wilpons was not that amicable so any Bobby V rumors can be laid to rest. Arigato.

I doubt Bobby could have done any better with this bunch of losers. How dod you lose 2 of 3 to yhe Marlins and only score 4 runs in the last 2 games?? Embarassing. Thank you Omar.

The Marlins have never finished higher than second either...

It is not happening, but the guy averaged nearly 90 wins per season with half the talent the Mets have had the last three years. I hate to pile on Willie, but how his winning percentage is only .010% (.544 vs. .534) higher boggles the mind...

I'm sorry, who was the manager for the 2000 National League Champions?

By your logic, Willie Randolph was a better skipper!

Tony Larussa was a lot "smarterer" in the 2006 NLCS than he was in 2000, wasn't he?

Bobby V...........please 1997 collapse, 1998, collapse, 1999 lost to the Braves, 2000 lost to the Yankees, 2001 no playoffs. You act like Bobby V created somekind of dynasty..........he didn't.

The '97 team was tied for the Wild Card on Sept 15. They sported this murderers row lineup however. They had no business being in that race in the first place....

McRae
Alfonzo
Gilkey
Huskey
Ochoa
Lopez
Castillo
Ordonez
Bohanon

'98 was a bit worse, but why would anyone expect them to win a game against a 106 win Brave team? Lieter and Reed had two of their worst starts of the season. There was no Johan type performance that would have gotten them in...
