| I heard talk this year how Halliday wants out of Toronto! Would you trade Wright and who ever else to get him? I for one would not mind seeing Wright go, not cause I hate him, but because I feel he cant handle the spot light of New York. Would you do this trade |

| I would think seriously about it. But I would want to know who my third basemen is in 2009 prior to doing the deal. I agree about Wright not being able to handle the pressure in NY.

| Yup trade Wright for a 30+ year old pitcher who probally has 3-4 good years left, and don't forget to give him a 4 year 80 million dollar extension. Hey its the Mets makers of all the wrong decisions so this can be reality this offseason. |

Sure, the guy is pressing. But to make such an idiotic statement like the guy can't hanlde NY, as if he's another Bonilla or Ed Whitson, is laughable. Nobody in the history of this franchise has started his Met career with such a bang, nor has anyone been as available to the toughest media in the country in good times and bad. When I think of what David has done for this franchise and the fact that he's only 25 and one of the main reasons they have been able to compete since 2005, there's no way I would trade him for anyone, let alone Halliday. When you think of players like Schmidt, Ripken, Gwynn and Biggio, you think of HOF caliber players that were the heart and soul of their franchises from start to finish. We've never had that and finally have a shot at it, yet you guys want to trade him for Halliday? This is a freaking joke, IMO. Why don't you idiots trade yourselves to become fans of another team?

I give you credit Denny. I was gonna defend Wright from the vultures out there but it just isnt worth the effort.

As for being the "biggest loser," that is a title you could one day hold too, if you go on that TV show and stick to the diet. * It has been my experience that anyone that adds the word "Big" before their names usually could get away with using the words "fat," "obese" or "husky."
