Who can be sad when that sweet, sweet champagne is on ice?

Do people still think he should stay next year?

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the first-place New York Mets.

Well, tied for first place in the NL East with the Phillies at 52-44. But with a 10-game winning streak, and with the way the Mets rallied for a 10-8 win over the Reds last night, it seems like only a matter of time before the Mets leave the rest of the division in the rearview mirror.
You ****ing knew it after reading that.

I've really had enough of him too.... but like Omar, I suspect he will be back. Apparantly, The Wilpons feel that Met fans arent suffering enough.

McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

You don't bring him back and many of the players on this team will even have worse years than they did this year. Honestly, the players, although they don't show it always by winning, love this guy as a manager. Jerry is not going anywhere and maybe that is a good thing..for it isn't Jerry's fault really. It is the players and, if you are not changing the manager, the Mets will be forced to throw out the garbage on this team: Heilman, Feliciano, Sanchez, Schoenweiss, Stokes, Rincon, Castillo, Church, Chavez, Pedro, Perez, etc....

I would really like to Jerry manage a Mets team with a bullpen and true veteran leadership. One year deal..Take it or leave it.

This team is just not that good to be a World Series winner. Manuel has done a great job of keeping the Mets to where they are at now. Its the players, who as usual, are not performing. I'm calling out the entire bullpen and David Wright with his inability to get hits with men in scoring position.

He's f***in brain dead when it comes to choking up on the bat and "just making contact" to get a simple hit.

Manuel is not Latino. Last I checked he was African-American from Cecil, Ga (with Cherokee indian heritage)! I may be wrong though for I am sipping champagne.

What the eff else can he do but laugh. Would you rather he glowered, and said something about Omar giving him the sh*ttiest bullpen on earth to try to earn a playoff spot with?

Glowering worked wonders for Willie with this bunch. Maybe approaching this with dark humor is the only way to keep these guys from sniffeling and f*cking up even worse? Who knows. But this is really far from Manuel's fault.

Anyone hear his excuse for not bringing Smith in to face DeRosa? He said something to the effect that Lou would use a lefty to hit for Derosa. What a freaking dumbass no way would Lou pinch hit for one of his better hitters.

But no one blasts the boss when they are in such a tenuous position, even if it is the boss's incompetence that landed the "company" in the hot water its in.

I've said it for a few days now... this team lost the division in those two Atlanta series'... these are mere ghosts playing out the string. The bullpen, and Omar, a fully to blame. Again.
