| This team is terrible... I know the offense cannot be expected to give the pen a 10 run lead every game, but they strand so many important runs. The Wilpons seriously need to have to look at what went wrong this year, over the winter. I think they will find the biggest failure was Omar. I mean who couldn't tell at the beginning of this year, how bad the bullpen was. I'm not GM and I certainly saw it. It all began a while back, NOT resiging Bradford. Omar would not give Bradford 3 years, but then turned around and gave Schoenweis 3 years. Smith the new Bradford. At the time letting Darren Oliver go was a mistake too. (Just things about Omar that ticked me) I have a $50 bet that the Mets will end the season with a better record than the Yankees. That bet is certainly in jeopardy now. The Pennant is lost and I'm afraid the Mets are gonna pull off the same swoon as last year, losing the Wildcard this time...on the last day of the year... My Vote is No-Confidence in the Mets... Be prepared folks... Anything else will be a huge surprise... God I hope I'm wrong, but this team has a way of plucking the beating heart right out of your chest! I'm sure of 1 thing, it will go to the wire..as usual!

| If I had to guess, I'd say it's something for you to sit on.

| I dont think "heart" is the issue... I have not seen guys dogging it or not trying. I think a lack of concentration or execution is a greater issue. This team has proven time and time again that they can do great things, but they do not sustain it. The bullpen has lost all confidence in their ability. They are damaged beyond repair. If anything, I think this team "over-tries" at times....especially in key situations. They are very aware of this situation and their struggles... They have flaws....and the injuries have not helped. |

| I have to wonder if ANYONE from the bullpen will be back next year. Especially with Wagner gone for '09, who would you want back? There's no core of pitchers out there that you can build an effective pen around. Just a total mess that has cost the Mets the division championship this year. |

| I wouldn't totally despise seeing Smith come back, as long as there are about three other options better than him first. And I've got no trouble seeing Feliciano come back, provided it's as a left handed specialist. Other than that, bleh. |

The fun part will be trying to find the core of the bullpen. Who will be the long-guy, the set-up guys, the closer, etc.? Omar (or his successor) is going to have a fun time trying to fill those roles. | |

| I'd bring back Smith, Figueroa, Stokes, Ayala (Setup or Less) revamp the rest They should have given Kuntz a chance he may have been the difference... Better yet...who do you want to see gone.... Heilman (Tops the chart) Schoeneweis (Terrible) Feliciano (Terrible)
