Default What will it take PART II

Mets need to win both of the upcoming series to get in...

How ironic.... Braves get swept by Phillies keeping Phillies close and then the Mets barely win ONE game against the same team....

I have no words for this team................ I repeat...in all my years I have not seen a bullpen like this....

Let me join in and say emphatically... either Mets use Parnell or hope that Tug McGraw appears somehow.... If Parnell hadn't worked I could see why the Mgr goes bak to the same garbage.... but for heavens sake (and fans sake as well).

TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT !!!

What a novelty!

Amigo if this team doesn't make postseason, heads MUST roll.

Agreed on Parnell. This nonsense about veterans and rookies is just that.. nonsense. Sometimes, the kid who does not know better might fare better results than the veteran who has always known nothing but misery...

Parnell hasn't been held back because Jerry has some sort of aversion to using rookies. He's been held back because there's significant risk involved with throwing a rookie with a history of control problems into tight spots in a pennant race. Unfortunately, the shitty performance of the stiffs in the 'pen has now made that a necessity. Parnell HAS to see significant action in the next seven games.

For the Mets to finish in first they must finish 6-1...

Either sweep the Cubs and win 2 out of 3 from the Marlins or win 3 of 4 from Cubs and sweep the Marlins......

Not "gonna" happen!

One thing is for sure... Jerry's stock really crashed and burned today, as if it were Lehman Brothers. Jerry's crash and burn is Well deserved, IMHO.

With that said, I still put much of the blame on Omar.

Watching Lidge pitch... is something wrong with his finger?

He'll still do the job though
