| Well, since after today, it is looking more as if next Sunday will indeed be the last game ever played at Shea, I thought some of you might be interested in the history of the old dump. The Bowery Boys produce a great series of podcasts on NYC history and this week they did one on Shea and Yankee stadium.. I actually listened to both and they were quite good, although I was certainly more interested in Shea history. Many of you may already know most, if not all, of these facts but still it is an interesting listen (about 15 min). Plus he plays the original Meet the Mets song.. Enjoy...Maybe this will take your mind temporarily off these horrible losses. The Bowery Boys | New York City History: PODCAST: Shea Stadium |
