Default Hey ******* MANUEL....

Two Words ---- Bobby Parnell.

Niese saved your season once. Murphy and Evans have had your ass out of the fire the second half...

USE.

THIS.

KID.

It can't hurt. There is no way Heilman should still have a job.

Manuel is proving that he is as bad as Willie. Now that they are getting close he's hitting the panic button. First, he benched Murphy for a week simply because they faced lefties when the kid has shown he could hit lefties. Second, it's obvious that something isn't right wirh Church yet he keeps him in the lineup. If D is the reason, I'd rather he go with Endy at this point, bat him second and Murphy sixth. With Church not hitting, 6,7,8 and 9 are dreadful.

Finally, you're right. He keeps running the same *******s out there. Shoeneweis and Heilman almost single handedly will cost the Mets two straight division titles.

What? Use a kid with a blazing fastball when you can run guys like Feliciano and Heilman out here every DAMNED day? You must be high.

That they are, Jerry. That they are.

Hey Jerry, let's do a simple SAT problem::

Mota:2007 as X:2008

A. Niese
B. Parnell
C. Figueroa
D. HEILMAN

Hmmm..that's a tough one (Remember eyes on your OWN paper, Jerry, no cheating!)

There is no risk using a guy who throws 97-98 mph and has had 2 strong outings and is an unknown quantity. When batters are facing a hard throwing pitcher for the first time, who throws strikes, the advantage is often with the pitcher.

What makes you think Jerry would use Bentiez?

That wasn't a panic move. Church, the veteran, was still respectable and Tatis was playing well.

Haha! You're suggesting starting Endy in the most important games of the Mets' season...and Manuel is the one with the problem?

Gimme a break. With Jerry forced to go to the punchless Castillo/Argenis combo at second, it would be ludicrous for him to go with Inning Endy as the regular leftfielder. Like it or not, Church is the team's best option right now.

Can't argue with this one. Not only are these guys stiffs, they're overworked stiffs. Time for Jerry to give Parnell a shot.

Not right now.

However --- this might be as lucid a thought as you'll get out of me for the rest of the season.

HEH HEH - "big and solid piece of what we've accomplished this month".

#1 needs to make a "Manuelism of the Day" tear off calendars.

Go for it. He deserves a great deal of blame for this debacle. Clearly, he learned nothing from last season.

From Adam Rubin's blog: Before the game Manuel said Bobby Parnell now warrants a relief look with a lead, perhaps even with runners on base. Parnell has been eased into the bullpen in his two appearances so far. Manuel said he purposely lined up Parnell to face Jeff Francoeur on Saturday night because the Brave doesn’t walk much. Well Jerry sure used him today huh? **** Mandolph.
