Default IF IF IF IF IF.........

IF Pedro shits the bed again in his last regular season start....

IF Niese pitches really well in his next two starts, including a potentially critical start in game 161...........

IF the Mets make the playoffs.................

Who is the 4th starter?

The McGimpy does most things upside down: eats, sleeps (an average of 23 hours per day), mates, and gives birth. Because of the McGimpy's upside down life, many of the McGimpy's internal organs (liver, stomach, spleen, pancreas) are in different positions from other mammals. McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

Niese over Martinez, but they could decide on a three-man rotation iof scheduling allows.

What they should do and what they will do are two different things.

It is why, IMO, it is so imperative that the Mets win the DIVISION.

I think the match up against LA is much, much more favorable to the Mets.

Pedro is going to get another shot after last night's performance.

He'd have to completely fall apart to lose his spot.

But what if he does "completely fall apart"? Does the team do what's best for the organization or do they follow some sort of loyalty thing and bring Pedro along?

BTW - I don't think that they use a 3 man rotation. If anyone was going to do that it would've been the 2001 DBacks, and even they did not.

I thought Niese could only be an injury replacement if they make the post season?

If thats the case someones arm may be up for examination.

Pedro to the pen idea is not a good one IMO...his 1st inning always feels like his worst.

Apparently Pedro agreed to drop out of the rotation late last night.

As big of a competitor as Pedro is, him just giving up is a horrible sign.

His father died and he's 1/4 of the pitcher he used to be.... what would expect any normal sane person to do?

That's certainly one very possible and understandable reaction. I was hoping that maybe Pedro would return clear of mind since his dad had been sick for quite some time and figured it might have been wearing on him.
