Ok, be honest... did you actually clap when those two homers soared into the night? If so, you gotta own up. Those were BIG moments. Were you able to let go of the disgust for a few seconds?

Just got back from both games. I don't know what I expected from Pedro but the second game was awesome.

Back to basics, time to bring the Admiral in for the home stretch.

Well never happy about losing 2 of 3 from the Phils but like most of us said coming into this one: 1-2 or 2-1 wasnt going to change a whole lot for the stretch run. Mets just need to take care of business against the trash of the NL.

Nice job by Santana to step up after a slow start.....

I was there, too. I expect METSSC will spend all of Monday weeping when he learns he missed his chance to hang out with me.

W-Rod's swing looks like he drank about four of those 24 ouncers.

No I kinda just stood up and let out a cry or a hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

Hey SC... I'm headed to Shea this Friday for the first time in two years, my longest such absence from there since I started going.

Do I just hold my wallet out and upside down when I get there? Or do I also need to shake it?

Graves, PM me with your critique please, the restarting of my blog is actually for a grade in Online Journalism, so if you have more than just "I hate whatever you write, you fu(king attention whore (unt," please let me know.

Same with anyonelse.

One of the things I like writing are stories like this, or what Jon Weissman did back in the day. Telling stories of being in attendence at events, and experiencing the tastes, sounds, smells, and everything about being there. Oh sure this one probably falls short, but that is something that I'd like to do as an aspiring journalist.

Due to a cranky 65 year old that was driving me home, I had to leave the stadium during the top of the seventh, but I could still feel the electricity of the Shea atmosphere listening in the car driving back to Westchester, and watching Luis Ayala put the final touches of a 6-3 win (the Mets 80th of the season), putting the Mets ahead by two games in the NL East with 19 games left for both teams, and puts the Mets division clinching magic number at 18.
So, you left out the part where you beat your father mercilessly and buried him in the backyard for making you leave early.
