Default Van Gundy leaves Rockets

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2861976

Like him as a coach but geez this is the second straight team he bails on after a playoff loss..

Him leaving could mean only two things. Either he was completely burned out, or hell be taking the "perfect job for him" in a few weeks. I have a feeling it's the latter. He'll probably end up on an Eastern conference team where his coaching can be more appreciated. Look for him to be on the sidelines for the Pacers or the Magic next season. (I think Orlando is perfect for him and Ewing to migrate to)

I say it's the former. The guy did all he could on that series and they still lost. Speaking of the Rockets, who feels bad for T-Mac after the postgame interview?

He just kept saying "I did my best." Then he thought of some things he could had done, but he said he did his best. Then, a reporter asks does he need another scorer and T-Mac just left the press conference.

McGrady, Lebron....

They have Vince Carter disease, the formers have time to reverse it though.

Michael Jordan recongnized quickly that his personal marketing machine was nice but he was losing focus on winning basketball games, the moment he turned on the priority button it was all over.

Shaq did the same thing. Dialed it back a notch.

Brina Hill fired today, so now both the Pacers and MAgic are looking for a coach... we'll see what happens.

Well, in a matter of two days... Van Gundy turs down the Pacers job, has a meeting with the MAgic, then loses out to Billy Donovan. I was close... but no cigar.
