He wanted an extension, the Jets are giving him the opportunity to get one. With someone else.

WOW..first ME-BURY..now COLES..must be release @sshole day..

THis is amazing...how Coles coming off another SUB-PAR season..is WLAKING AWAY from GUARANTEED $$$..this makes up for Jets Guaranteeing the TWO years to BEGIN with....Who is gonna give him that $$ ..??

On the FLip SIDE..Jets have just added MORE $$$ to the already available cap space..better spend it wisely.. NO RAY LEWIS.. now they can go after a REAL WR..

Before Coles is proclaimed some kind of hero for "walking away" from guaranteed money, remember that he was already strong arming Jetss brass from the LAST GAME OF THE SEASON with his demands for a contract extension at big $.

I'm glad he's gone. Tough player, but overall I thought he was crap.

I am sure he will end up in Miami so he can reignite the 4 yard fade pattern with his butt buddy Chad.

Supposedly the door is open for him to go back to the Jets at his same deal so its really a no-lose situation for him. The Jets would be horribly foolish to bring him back IMO

At least the Knicks seem to be on the right track. The others have either derailed (Jets), or are close to derailing (Mets and Rangers).
