Default What Do We Do With Shockey?

Boss looks like a keeper and I am not sure how many more years Shockey is signed for. Do you think the Giants will entertain offers for him in the off-season?

I like Boss a lot, but he isn't as good as Shockey. Let's be realistic, he's made one or two catches per game (albeit big catches) and has been quiet otherwise.

He made the types of catches that Shockey usually drops. I would entertain offers for Shockey, but only if we are talking a second round pick +.

Reese looks like he can draft.

let's see if Boss's performance makes Shockey work a little harder.

He needs to grow up, IMO, and stop with all the hysterics.

Catch the ball, give the ball to the referee, and get back in the f'n huddle.

and maybe head up north for some mini-camps instead of working out in Miami

Jeremy Shockey has really grown up in the past year or so -- I think the biggest knock on Shockey now is that he really has become injury prone and not the big play threat he once was.

That may be true. I loved Shockey when they first drafted him, but lately I just can't get past the drops and other things he does at times.

There is no way I get rid of Shockey. This team is now Eli's. No doubt about it. Time for him to go to Shockey tell him to quit his whining if he doesn't get the ball and if he wants to go play elsewhere then send him packing. I think most of all Shockey wants to win and if that means him getting less balls thrown his way then so be it.

I dont think there's much to this. Keep Shockey and run some 2 TE sets.....GL to linebackers and safeties trying to stop those 2. Giants already have a mismatch with Plax vs. just about any corner...they can add 2 more with those two guys on the field.

I love Shock and have no problem keeping him. I just have a feeling he won't get BETTER and he'll break down. Though, I was worried about this for quite a while, so who knows.

I just wonder, IF somebody would provide good picks for him, is it worth considering? Just saying 'if' ...

As we see with this team, you need depth and having Boss and Shockey is a good thing for now, until Boss gets too expensive.

That's why having a good draft is important and this past one was awesome for the Giants with Ross, Bradshaw DeOssie, Smith and Boss. Jerry Reese has done a fantastic job.

Yeah, I agree. Depth is the key and I cannot tell you how wrong I was about Reese and the draft. I was excited to see what Ross would do but I never gave much thought to the other players. I had no idea what to expect.

When you have 5 rookies who can make an impact what more can one ask for? For the first time, I can be excited about the future and not feel like I am rooting for flakes (Dayne, Moss, Dixon)

There's just something about these young guys. They FEEL right. You know what I mean?

Shockey is certainly better but it seems to me that Eli and Boss have been on the same page, albeit in limited work.

I've had enough of the Shockey injuries. He's the equivalent of Moises Alou, except he hasn't been that great when healthy.
