Same compensation I'd still prefer Edwards.

| Senior Member | Agreed. Plus Edwards is a much better fit for the Giants offense - stretches the field, goes up and gets balls, and actually stays on the field. His O7 shows he can be one of the top WRs in the game. I understand there's a risk there as well, and Boldin is more of a bet to be consistant but I think the talent there is worth it with Edwards and again the Giants need a guy to be on the field for all 16 games and the playoffs. |

| Senior Member | Agreed Dak...plus it makes no sense to me to spend pretty much the same cost to move up and get a guy like Bey as it would to get Edwards or Boldin. To me, if the Giants are moving up to get anyone then they need to go all in and move up to get Crabtree. He's the best player in the draft and IMO the only WR in there who can be a star right out of the gate. Otherwise I'd just assume them sit and take whoever is left of Britt, Nicks, and Robiskie |

| Well, Crabtree is being talked about as falling into the area of pick 10 if he gets by the Brown's at 5. It would be a lot more reasonable to deal up to the 10 pick then into the top 5 in not only picks but also in contract. I was actually thinking that the Giants could cover both bases by dealing up into the teens (heard rumors that the Saints at 14 could be in play since they lost the Shockey picks and could look to replenish them) and then be in a position to move up again for Crabtree if he falls and/or for the next WR on their list. |

4-5 is where he's expecting to be right now....the Raiders at 7 love Bey so that might actually play into your scenario...where if the Giants can move up into the teens they can then get in on a deal with Oakland (or if they think Oakland is stupid enough to take Bey over Crabtree, then Jacksonville) to swap spots, but the timing to pull that off is going to be really interesting. They'd have to have some big time insight to know that he's going to slide past Seattle and the Browns. Depending on what happens with Sanchez the Giants might have a tough time moving in tho....you know the Redskins and Broncos really want to move up to get him...

| Saw something on the ESPN scroll that the Jets have a deal in place with JAX if the player they want is there. Have to believe that it's Sanchez. If that's the case, it could open up a lot of trade down deals since he's viewed as the player most teams are looking to move up to get. Realistically, I don't see a team picking in (or around) the top 10 to drop down all the way to 29. So, the only way I see the Giants going up that far is to either make 2 deals (1 into the teens and the other into the top 10) or if they include a player who can help that team (Kiwanuka?) along with some picks. |

| HOLY SHEET...Typical Raiders...they take Bey OVER CRABTREE !!! Could have easily traded down and gotten EXTRA PICK if they had such a hard on for Bey..he still would have been there.. Gints SHOULD DO THIS now..get Crabtree !

| Senior Member | Yep...I know Reese loves the Nicks kid and most experts see him as a late steal...a guy with all the talent of a top 10 WR just not the extra 2-3 inches in height or stop watch speed, but to me, Crabtree was by far and away the best player in this whole draft...with all the extra picks they have gotta make the move. |

| I'll be surprised if Crabtree makes it past the Niners.

| Senior Member | As expected....he's off the board. So I guess now it just comes down to...do the Browns want more picks or are they happy with getting the 2nd and a couple of players from the Jets? If so then I think the Giants pick comes down to Britt or Nicks depending on who's still around. I like both players, but they are not Plax replacements. |
