I just watched Independence Day the other day, and I just love the scene at the end where Jeff Goldblum and Will Smith are walking away from the wrecked alien space craft smoking cigars...

That scene was cribbed from another favorite scene of mine from The Right Stuff, where Sam Shepard, as Chuck Yeager, was walking away from his wrecked aircraft in the desert...

A few that I'm surprised nobody mentioned.

1. Phoebe Cates diving scene to the Car's song "Moving in Stereo" in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. ( excluding the part where Judge is spanking it).

2. Baldwin's Diatribe in Glengarry Glen Ross. " Coffee's for Closers".

3. Nicholson's confession in a Few Good Men.

TC: Did you Order the Code Red?

JN: You're God Damn right I did !!

That's just freaking excellent.

"These are the new leads. These are the Glengarry leads. And to you they're gold, and you don't get them. Why? Because to give them to you would be throwing them away. They're for closers."

"We're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anybody want to see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

"You know why, mister? 'Cause you drove a Hyundai to get here tonight, I drove an eighty thousand dollar BMW. *That's* my name."

Alec Baldwin rocked in that movie.
