It's obviously a good show because its fans go psycho on you when you say something like this. It's just surprising that it's so unmarketable and yet so successful.
They suck in new fans when people who have been watching the show talk about it constantly, the people who feel left out go out and buy all of the seasons on DVD, waste days on end watching them just to catch up.

It's amazing what people will do to feel cool.

while i agree that you can't pick up the show from the middle, i think they make it pretty easy to either watch the episodes online or rent/buy them.

after watching lost and freaks and geeks on DVD i've actually realized that not having to wait week to week and having no commercials is more enjoyable way to watch a show.

You can watch all the LOST episodes online for free.

I agree with everything you said, and AD was a great comedy in a time where the sitcom is all but dead. That show was likely killed off by a new regime taking over FOX, as the old regime would always be creditted with any success that show had (hence, they constantly moved the shows timeslot, always put it up against American Idol, or the superbowl..)

LOL, I've never felt cool my entire life (fact). But ever since I caught up in Lost, I am right there with the Jocks and cheerleaders and I'm the life of the party.

The show is well made, its well written and on DVD, they are 40 mins per ep. ABC.com has every season for free as well if you dont mind 30 second commercials. Its no more a waste of time than watching the mets for an entire season only to watch them choke every year (and we still do that anyway.)

Wednesday was one of those typical LOST episodes where nothing happens for the entire hour, and you know five minutes in that it's going to suck. They have three or four of those every season.

It a useless episode.

Kind of weird how Jin showed up though. I mean don't get me wrong, he was a great character, but I really hope they have some better explanation than the "audience really likes this character and we had to find a way to bring him back, plus the DWI charges were dropped". He was blown up on a ship in the middle of the ocean, the Island disappears everyone's jumping in time every 5 minutes and here he comes floating on a board, Titanic style?

Also Jack yes the character at one point got incredibly irritating and arrogant, but I always gave him a little credit for occaisionally having something on the ball, but last week: wow. Really Jack? You couldn't put it together that Ben might have been behind the whole baby-snatching plan? When he was one of the only ones that knew Sayid was in that hospital when he got jumped by the incompetent ninja-guys? Really?

Speaking of which are we the only people on this forum paying attention to this show anymore? Where the hell are Busyman and Nick? Or even manatwo(braincells)*?

The last ten minutes or so of the island stuff was cool (Jin lives!), but Kate episodes since "What Kate Did" have sucked long and hard. This was no exception. Not as bad as the awful Kate flashforward last season (the trial scenes were pathetic) but easily a step down after the first two episodes.

At this point jack is supposed to be so delusional, with his sole purpose to get back to the island, he is willing to overlook everything.

Besides, it made for the best line of the night, when Ben said, "No Jack, I am behind it."

The Benjamin Linus character has really been solid through every epsiode he is in.

Couldn't agree more. And yet I still want more. She is ridiculous, we need to kidnap her for the bunker.

I have not seen a Kate episode that I have liked.

She's a good character on island, but off island I can't stand her or her story.

Thought it was cool when they went back in time to the night Boone died when Locke had been pounding on the hatch to get that light to flash up...Sawyer seeing Kate delivering Claire's baby...Jin being rescued by the younger (not crazy, yet) Rosseau.

So...

Was that the "Temple" that Ben sent the Others to?
Ben wasn't supposed to move the island.
The "Sickness" is exposure to the smoke monster?
Charlotte is dead (?) and was on the island as a child during the Dharma days.
Daniel's mother is Ms. Hawking?
