| Senior Member | New Orleans finally got a win over Iowa, 9-5. John Niese was not sharp but improved his AAA record to 4-1. A rehabbing Ryan Church went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, playing seven innings in RF. Eddie Kunz pitched a scoreless ninth for the Zephyrs... Jesus Feliciano - 1 for 4, 2B (20), R, .310 Andy Green - 3 for 4, HR (4), 2B, 2 R, 5 RBI (28), .309 Ryan Church - 1 for 3, 2B, RBI Mike Nickeas - 0 for 3, RBI (16) Abraham Nunez - 1 for 3, HR (4), 2 R, 2 RBI (28) John Niese - 6 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 3 K Eddie Kunz - 1 IP, 1 H Box Binghamton got a great outing from Jose Sanchez, then held on to beat New Hampshire, 3-2. Sanchez went eight scoreless, allowing five hits with no walks and five K's. The 24 year old righty has quietly had a good season for the B-Mets, going 13-6 with a 3.77 ERA and 105:42 K:BB ratio. Not so hot is Fernando Martinez, who went 0 for 3 with a walk. He's currently mired in an 8 for 38 slump... Luis Castillo - 2 for 4, RBI, .250 Mike Carp - 0 for 3, BB, R Caleb Stewart - 2 for 4, 2B (25), R, RBI (49) Ambiorix Concepcion - 1 for 4, RBI (50) Jose Coronado - 1 for 3, 2B (21), R Jose Sanchez - 8 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K Box St. Lucie and Savannah are off... The National League All-Stars rallied in the bottom of the ninth to beat the AL in New York-Penn League All Star Game, 4-3. Brad Holt pitched a perfect third, striking out two and walking one. Yury Santana, who I'm assuming replaced an unavailable Chris Schwinden (6.2 IP yesterday), worked a perfect seventh... Brad Holt - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K Yury Santana - 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 K, 0 BB All Star Box Bad defense and a shoddy bullpen doomed Kingsport in a 10-7 loss to Burlington. Brandon Moore (14th Round, 2008) went four scoreless in his first professional start. Wilmer Flores was 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI. Kyle Suire (35th Round, 2008) added two hits and two RBI of his own, including his seventh HR of the season... Rafael Fernandez - 1 for 5, R Kyle Suire - 2 for 5, HR (7), 2B (15), 2 R, 2 RBI (31) Wilmer Flores - 3 for 4, 2B, R, 2 RBI (40), .332 Dock Doyle - 1 for 2, 2 BB, R, .311 Gabriel Zavala - 0 for 3, RBI (18) Brandon Moore - 4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 4 K, 0.00 Box The GCL Mets and the entire GCL were rained out... Olympics: Brandon Knight had a much better outing in his second start for Team USA, getting the win in a 4-2 victory over Chinese Taipei. Knight went 6.1 innings, allowing just one earned while walking two and striking out one.
