Is Josh Thole REALLY this good or is this another Met prospect smoke and mirrors guy?

How is his defense? Do the pitchers like him?

Defense is a work in progress from what I've read. Wasn't really paying attention to his defense when I went. I've seen him hit a few times. Beautiful, short swing. Definitely a gap hitter that might develop some power. A poor man's Joe Mauer? Maybe, I'm not a scout, but I like the kid's swing.

Someone from Binghamton who I've been super unimpressed with? The great Shawn Bowman. His numbers might be decent, but isn't he like 25 in AA? And the two games I've seen him play I think he's struck out half the time.

Nevermind.

Thole suffered a dislocated thumb. Knowing Met doctors they'll amputate the hand. The wrong hand.

Seriously - any word on his return?

Thole's on the DL for at least seven days. I'm wondering why Mejia hasn't gone since last Tuesday? Hopefully they're just his managing his innings, since he's already passed his 2008 total...
