Default Mets looking at Anna

The Official Site of Major League Baseball: News: Major League Baseball News

along with just about every other team in baseball...

Yes, teams are that desparate for pitching.

That's kind of like saying I'd rather drink piss chilled instead of warm, but I would have to agree.

I'd rather take Benson for a year over lousy too but I dont think Monsignor Coupon likes the image Anna portrays.

McGimpy sometimes lets out a cry or hissing sound.

During the rare times the McGimpy goes down to the ground (such as to change trees for food), it moves very slowly.

regardless of what kind of pitcher he would be, there is no way the Wilpons bring Anna back.

Well, they missed the opportunity to get Anna back at the Christmas party. But they still have time to find out what her take on the Easter Bunny is.

LOL... the agent is a douchebag.

"For the right team, like the Phillies, it's a great opportunity," Clifton was quoted as saying in the Philadelphia Inquirer. "He's a seasoned Major League veteran who's battled this injury for the last couple seasons prior to '07. He sucked it up and pitched, so '08 could be a tremendous year for him because he's finally healthy. ... There's not a lot of long-term risk, either, and great potential upside."
Already trying to play the Mets/Phillies angle, when we all know Kris doesn;t want to come back to the Mets at all.

So why are the Mets even bothering to scout him then?

Sounds like a complete waste of time to me if the guy doesn't want to come back here.

Kris may not want to, but I'll bet Anna is dying to get back to NYC.

Pretty sad how bad pitching is these days, that a horrid #5 starter like Benson is drawing all this attention from a dozen or so teams.

No he isn't, but one would think that Maine would be a more apt comparison here...

Maine was a serendipitous throw-in in a deal that was designed to dump Benson, his wife and his horrible contract on an unsuspecting dupe, while giving Dick Petershlong another "project" with great stuff and no command (Jorge Julio).

Omar the Retarded

taking credit for Maine and Perez is laughable. (How'd that Perez for Linebrink trade work out there Minaya? OH?? The Padres don't WANT Perez? You're STUCK with him?............. awww ****.........)
