Its prob all part of the plan to make AROD look innocent in the whole opt out debacle. Boras got AROD paid and vice versa and now that no more mega deals need to be arranged he doesn't need him anymore.

a Hollywood management group to control his image? What planet am I on? Does this guy play baseball?

You know, the more I think of it, how does Boras have a monopoly on baseball? Why is David Falk not all over it? He pretty much forced the NBA to have a salary cap, but he was never the attention hog Boras is.

Come to think of it, I haven't heard his name dropped in quite a long time. Is he still alive?

Ahhh, Wikipedia answered my question:

Quote:
Falk is currently semi-retired, having left his position as Chairman of SFX Sports Group in 2001 to spend more time with his family.[4] He represented only 7 players in 2007,[14] a far cry from the prime of his sports agent career in the 1990s, when he represented as many as 40 players at a time.

How does an agent represent 40 players at a time? They must have a lot of staff.

Where's Arliss Michaels when you need him?

As for A-Rod and Bora$, it was inevitable since he just signed his last playing contract. Basically he just needs an agent to line up endorsements and commercial deals now.

Boras is still his Baseball guy, which means he gets his commission, which of course is all he cares about. Maybe the Hollywood folks are working on his special merchandising tent for Spring Training...
